On April 24, 2026, the SuperDev talks took place in Granada, organized by the associations Granada Jam and Granada Gaming Festival. These talks were part of Ficzone, the largest event in southern Spain focused on cinema, comics, manga, and video games.

The talk "Retro Video Game Development Today: ZX Spectrum" reviewed the current state of the scene, focusing on modern tools for programming the ZX Spectrum. It highlighted the originality and essence of these types of games in contrast to the typical sandbox or shooter games on more modern platforms.

The beauty of ZX programming was discussed, emphasizing the ingenuity required to create smooth games that also fit within the limited space of this microcomputer. In this context, Boriel Basic was highlighted as the definitive compiler—a modern, accessible, and constantly evolving tool that makes it easy to create games. Additionally, it serves as the foundation for other engines like ZX Game Maker. All of this is supported by a development environment, several books, and, above all, a strong community that backs and assists in developing with Boriel Basic.
